Charlie Joseph Guillory, 44, was born to Charlie Joseph and Mary Lee Landry on April 25, 1975 in DeRidder, LA. God called Charlie home on May 3, 2019 at his sister’s home in DeRidder, LA.
Charlie was baptized at Bethel A.M.E. Church at an early age. He attended school in Beauregard Parish. He married Kimberly Collins Guillory on September 15, 2001.
Those left to cherish his memory are spouse, Kimberly Guillory of DeRidder, LA; stepdaughter, LaNeisha Birdlong and Anthony Cole of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Christopher Palmer and Catoria of DeRidder, LA, Harold Palmer of DeRidder, LA, Gerald Palmer and LaTasha of Lake Charles, LA, Roy Palmer of DeRidder, LA, James Bradley and Linda of Houston, TX, Charlie Jones of Lake Charles, LA, Travis Bernard of Lake Charles, Ricky Bernard and Kayla of Lake Charles; sister, Shannon Mark of DeRidder, LA; Godmother and aunt, Rose Cole and Floyd of DeRidder, LA; Godfather, Charles Shine of DeRidder, LA; aunt, Dorothy Franks and Percy of Lake Charles, LA; uncle, Willie Guillory and Paula of DeRidder, LA; one step grandchild, Nehemiah Cole; Godchildren, Talarra Palmer and Antonia Palmer; Godsister, LaTonia Johnson and Lewis of DeRidder, LA; sister-in-law, Debra Palmer of New Llano, LA; best friends, Titisha and Cornelius Jackson, Patsy Davis, and Ahmad Abdullah all of DeRidder, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mary Landry; sister, Consuela Jones; brother, Michael Bernard and his grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Greater St. Paul Church of God in Christ in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Pastor Iles will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA. Pallbearers will be Terry Taylor, Alvin Jones, Jay Williams, Malcolm Banks, Chris Washington, Eric Jones, Ahmad Abdullah, and Kenny Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Palmer, Gerald Palmer, Charlie Jones, Roy Palmer, Harold Palmer, and James Bradley.
The family is very grateful for all the prayers, visitors, calls, food and monetary donations. Thank you all for everything you have done to make this difficult time a little more bearable.
