Charity "Chatty" Ford

Charity “Chatty” Ford, 87, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, November 1, 2019.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Pauline Monical of Oakdale, LA, Colleen Tyler and Franklin of DeRidder, LA, Ann Daley Farquar of Pineville, LA; sisters, Nelva Abrusley of Oakdale, LA, Neome Rowell of Ragley, LA; grandchildren, Katie Schiro and E.J. of Houston, TX, Tiffany Hooper and Todd of Lake Charles, LA; great grandchildren, Bryten and Brylee Cooley, Savannah Mott, Elora and Deacon Hooper; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harta Lee Ford; parents, Leander “Mont” and Louise Reeves Hamilton; brothers, Delmar, Herbert, Pete Hamilton; sisters, Nellie Young, Neva Singleton, Niese Cooley; grandson, Jason M. Baggett; granddaughter, LeAnn C. Baggett.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019, from 5 TO 9 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 4, 2019, at Shiloh Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA, with an Eastern Star Service to begin at 1:30 PM.  Reverend Alan Knuckles will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be Glen Cooley, Ronald Hamilton, Greg Hamilton, Kinnie Ford, Darrell Singleton and Bobby Abrusley.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Bryten Cooley and E.J. Schiro. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
