Bruce Allen Carter

Reverend Bruce Allen Carter, 66, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, July 20, 2019.

Reverend Carter served in the U.S. Army on various tours during the Vietnam era (1970 – 1980).  After Basic Training and AIT (Advanced Individual Training) he served in the 11 Bravo Straight Leg Infantry with 1st Air Calvary.  He went on to serve as a part of the 176th Light Artic Infantry, in Alaska, and later with the 2nd Armor Division and 1st Calvary at Fort Hood, Texas.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of sixteen years, Patricia Waggoner Carter of DeRidder, LA; brother, James Thomas Carter of Hamburg, AR; sister, Linda Young and Harold of DeRidder, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rose Carter.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral Services are pending at the time.
