Bonnie Marie Whittington Johnson, 76, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Danny Matthis of DeRidder, LA, Ricky Matthis and Darla of Mittie, LA; daughters, Vickie Matthis and Joe of DeRidder, LA, Debbie Matthis and Charles of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Randal Matthis, Derrik Wagnon and Jana, Ashely Grantham and Willie, Brandon Matthis and Kaylee, Kacy Matthis, Courtney Matthis and Joey, Katlin Matthis, Danny Matthis, Jr. Aden Matthis; great grandchildren, Levis and Paisley Wagnon, Emeree, Copen and Tilden Cheever, Karter Matthis, Jovion and Jay Smith, Ava Franks, one on the way and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruby Whittington; husband, LeRoy Johnson; son, Andy “Goober” Matthis; grandson, Justin Grantham; great grandson, Donovan Reynolds; great granddaughter, Harper Matthis.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 20, 2022, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Reverend Ralph Sikes will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Derrick Wagnon, Levi Wagnon, Willie Cheever, Brandon Matthis, Ricky Matthis, Joe Suire. Burial will follow at Hennigan Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
