Bobby R. Deason

August 4, 1944 - April 19, 2015

Bobby R. Deason, 70, of DeRidder, LA, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at his home.  Bobby was a “great” hard working man and a strong and loving family man and will be greatly missed.  He was a leader and teacher in life and enjoyed fishing, working, and grilling for his family.  He worked at Boise Cascade for 37 years as an Instrument and Electrical Maintenance Superintendant.  He was a good Christian man.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Judy Gaskin Deason; son, Eric R. Deason of DeRidder, La; grandson, Brent Fletcher of DeRidder, LA; great grandson, Dylan Perkins-Fletcher; sister, Peggy Smith of DeRidder, LA, and Betty Heurtevant of Sulphur, LA; and brother, Ronnie L. Deason of Hackberry, LA.  He was preceded in death by his father, Marcus Deason and mother, Estelle Deason Perry; daughter, Sabrina Deason-Owens; grandson, Dean Fletcher, Jr.; and brother, Roger Deason.

Visitation and funeral service is Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  Visitation will begin at 10:00am until time of funeral service at 2:00pm.  Burial will follow in Blue Branch Cemetery in Pitkin, LA.  Rev. Sharon Harris will officiate.
