Bob Wallace Dufrene

Bob Wallace Dufrene, 88 years old, passed away on October 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 21, 1936, Bob was known for his hard work, friendly demeanor and kind heart.

He loved working at doing woodwork and making things. He would help anyone with, whatever they needed welded or any carpentry work repairs. Bob never met a stranger and was a born -again Christian since 1964.

Those left to cherish his memory are his, loving wife of 66 years, Jackie Dufrene; sons, Timothy Dufrene & Colleen (Dee) of Sugartown, LA, Leonard Dufrene & Charlotte of Des Allemands, LA; brothers, Richard Dufrene and Sarah of Des Allemands, LA, Murray Dufrene and Terri of Des Allemands, LA; son- in- law, Jody Owens of Miami, FL, sister, Evelyn Dufrene and Leslie of Des Allemands, LA; grandchildren, Kristy, Britney, Anna, Aron, Stephanie; step- granddaughter, Candace Ashworth; great grandchildren, Navaeh, Koal, Isabella, Zane, Ridge, Chandler, Alesa, Michael, Odin, Sirus; step- grandchildren, Aryanna, Robert, Cameron and Lacey; step great – great grandchildren, Tobias and Blake.

He is preceded by his parents, Herbert and Mae Matherne Dufrene; daughter, Leah Dufrene Owens.

 Funeral service to honor Bob's life will take place on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Palestine Baptist Church in Grant, Louisiana. Prior to the service, a public viewing will be held at the church starting at 8:00 am also, on Friday, October 11, 2024. Brother Hardy Estes will be officiating. Burial will follow at Palestine Church Cemetery. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. Bob's legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
