Blanche Marie Bryan

December 22, 1924 - March 17, 2015

Blanche Marie Bryan, 90, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.  Mrs. Bryan was born on December 22, 1924 in Florien, LA and lived most of her life in DeRidder.  She was a faithful member of Westview Baptist Church.  She enjoyed many activities in her life including playing cards, bingo and dominos with various women’s groups, the Council on Aging and with Beauregard Electric Cooperative, Inc.  Mrs. Bryan, known as Gunga to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, adored her family and enjoyed spending quality with them.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Hank Bryan of Repton, AL, and Boyd Bryan of DeRidder; grandchildren, Paul Bryan (Celeste), and Karl Bryan (Alison) all from Lake Charles, LA and Russell Bryan (Claudia) from Dothan, AL; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew, Gabrielle, Haley, Kimberly, Chasidy, Will and Russ.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Bryan, and a son, William R. Bryan.

Visitation will begin at 1:00pm until 4:00pm on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.  A Private Burial for family will be at Cooper Memorial Cemetery.  Pastor Kari Ifland Will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Agape Community Clinic, DeRidder, LA.
