Those left to cherish his memory his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Mandy Gill of Leesville, LA; sons, Steven Eugene Gill of Leesville, LA, Billy Ray Gill, Jr. of Leesville, LA, Micah James Maddox of Leesville, LA, John Richard Thomas V of Leesville, LA, Cody Glenn of Leesville, LA and Michael Anthony Maddox of Leesville, LA; mother, Connie Nesler of DeRidder, LA; step-father, Mack Edward Johnson, Sr. of Leesville, LA; brother, James Edward Johnson of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Peggy Johnson of Gainsville, FL; Linda Williamson of DeRidder, LA; Easter Marie Johnson of DeRidder, LA; Sabrina Renee Woodward of Anacoco, LA; Sisters-in-law, Courtney Maddox of Leesville, LA, Amber King of Leesville, LA; and Saralyn Jade Maddox of Leesville, LA; brother-in-law, Jamie Maddox and Riki and son Parker Maddox; special-friend David “Woody” Phillips and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Gill; brother, Mack Edward Johnson, Jr., nephew, Gary Clark.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Buddy Freeman and Brother Paul Hoskey will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Robbey Swank, Jonathan Young, Micah Maddox, Jamie Maddox, James Johnson, DeWayne Gill, Michael Anthony Maddox.  Honorary Pallbearers will be David Phillips, Steven Gill and Billy Gill, Jr.  Burial will follow at Whitaker Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
