Billy Otto Franklin, 75, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, March 3, 2023.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fifty-six years, Helen “Jan” Franklin of DeRidder, LA; sons, Johnny E. Franklin of DeRidder, LA, Billy J. Franklin and Christie of Sugartown, LA; brothers, Larry Franklin and Vanessa of San Antonio, TX, Ronald Franklin of Rosepine, LA, Edward Franklin and Becky of Longville, LA; sisters, Sandra Simmons and Larry of Sugartown, LA, Mary Worthy of San Antonio, TX, Patricia Jones and Ronnie of DeRidder, LA, Barbara Hudson of San Antonio, TX, Lillie Keeling of Rosepine, LA;  grandchildren, Kaleb Franklin(Rosa), Skyler Bryant(Carmen), Alexis Franklin, Kylee Parker(Morgan), Brionna Franklin; great grandchildren,  Billy, Selina, Adalynn, Daniel, Ryker, Kaleb and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Susan Jeanette Franklin, Jenny Rebecca Franklin; parents, Jesse and Geneva Franklin.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Clyde Snider will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Kaleb Franklin, Skyler Bryant, Terrell Smith, Christopher Franklin, Kylee Parker, Brionna Franklin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy, Daniel, Ryker, Kaleb. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer, LA.
