Betty Ruth Statum. 68, of Starks, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, October 17, 2015.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry Williams of Houston, TX; sons, Ben Statum III and Bobby Joe Statum, both of Starks; brother, Edward G. Johnson and wife Chris of Starks; sisters, Ruby Nell Martinez and husband Raymond of Starks; Janice Funk and husband Roy of Vinton, and Patricia Peveto and husband Allen of Deweyville, TX;  grandchildren, Alex Cole Statum, Nathan Andrew Statum, Ben Statum IV, and Steven Taylor Statum; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Edward and Vera Hyatt Johnson; and sister, Wanda Mae Wilson.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 5:00pm until 10:00pm at Calvary Apostolic Church in Starks, LA.  Funeral  service will be Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 11:00am at Calvary Apostilic Church.  Burial will follow at VFW Cemetery in Starks.  Bro. Keith Smith will officiate.
