Betty Jean Rheams

Betty Rheams, 88, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Roy Rheams and Tracy of Marble Falls, TX; daughters, Linda Hemperley and Daniel of Lufkin, TX, Sherry Riley and Dennis of DeRidder, LA; brother, Woodrow Doyle and Mary Anne of Lufkin, TX; grandchildren, Jason, Derek, Christopher, Amber, Jennifer, Heather, Weston, Logan and Mitchell; twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Rheams; father, Riley Strother; mother, Mamie Dyer; brothers, J.V. Strother, Huey Strother; sisters, Marlene Ashworth, Esther Doyle, Elaine Strother.

Visitation will be held on Wendesday, January 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Pastor Tom Avant will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Logan Rheams, Weston Rheams, Mitchell Rheams, Robert Wascom, Jr., Jason Ramsey and Jacob Ramsey. Burial will follow at Occupy 1 Cemetery in Glenmora, LA.
