Bessie Ann Cooper

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bessie Ann Cooper, who left us on April 12, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on March 20, 1959, in LA and a cherished resident of DeRidder, LA, Bessie was a beloved wife, mother, and friend. She spent many years dedicated to her work as a Deli Manager at Brooshire Brothers, where she created a warm and welcoming environment for all her customers.

Bessie was the heart of her family. She adored her husband, Tommy, and her daughter, Tara. Her grandchildren were her sunshine and her whole heart. Every day brought joy as she took them on trips to the dollar store or hosted family gatherings filled with laughter, great food, and unconditional love, especially during the holidays.

Bessie had a passion for cooking and welcomed everyone to her home for Thanksgiving and Christmas traditions. She cherished her friends, and if you were lucky enough to call her one, you knew you had a friend for life. Her love for her pets, particularly her spoiled dogs, filled her days with joy. There was nothing better than sitting on her front porch and catching up on the latest town gossip with her son-in-law, Shane.

Spring was her favorite season, and she found peace in the great outdoors. Bessie loved to travel, with trips to Galveston beach holding a special place in her heart, where she could relax by the ocean and enjoy the sun.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of more than twenty-five years, Tommy Rigmaiden of DeRidder, LA; daughter, Tara Isbell and Shane of DeRidder, LA, her beloved grandbabies, Kameron Isbell, Evie Isbell, Chance Rigmaiden, Raven Rigmaiden and a host of other family and friends.

Bessie was preceded in death by her son, Randall Cooper; parents, Bronson and Annie Cooper; brothers, Jimmy O'Rear, Bob O' Rear, Danny Cooper.

A public viewing will take place at Spring Creek Baptist Church, 587 Hwy 1147, Deridder, LA on Thursday, April 17, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Brother Dalton Isbell will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Roger Butler, Mike Vaughn, Sonny Smith, David Williams, Terry Clark, Christopher Primeaux. Bessie will be laid to rest later that day at Spring Creek Cemetery in DeRidder, LA. We invite all who knew and loved her to come together to celebrate her vibrant life and the joy she brought to so many.

We will forever hold her memory close in our hearts, cherishing the love and laughter she shared with us. Rest in peace, Bessie. Your spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved you.
