Bennie Phillips

Bennie Wayne “Buster” Phillips, 81, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Frances Pruitt of DeRidder, LA; son, Lloyd J. Phillips of DeRidder, LA; brother, Jack Phillips and Margaret of DeRidder, LA; sister, Loretta Whitaker of DeRidder, LA; fur baby, “Pete”; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jewel Phillips; sons, Darrell Phillips, Mark Phillips; daughter, Emma Ryder; brother, Earl James Phillips; sisters, Betty Ruth LaPoint, Mildred Sue Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Brother Willis Bailey will officiate the service.
