Bart Joseph Fazio

Bart Joseph Fazio, 52, of Rosepine, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

Bart attended DeRidder schools from kindergarten through high school, graduating in 1990. He moved to Baton Rouge to further his education and was a proud graduate of Louisiana State University. His degree in mechanical engineering led him through his professional life. He started out at Woman’s Hospital and eventually found his way to Promag Ltd, both in Baton Rouge. In 2011, he returned to DeRidder and began his career at Ingevity. He was a life-long member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He made lasting friendships at every step and remained in contact with many until his last days. He was loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of sixteen years, Amy Goins Fazio of Rosepine, LA; son, Luca Rylan Fazio; daughters, Lilah Clare Fazio, Lia Noelle Fazio; mother, Helen Fazio of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Dr. Todd Fazio and Sheila of Rosepine, LA, Mark Fazio and Kris of Valrico, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, B.J. Fazio.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 16, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeRidder, LA. Monsignor Daniel Torres, Father V. Wayne LeBleu, and Father Jude Brunnert, M.S. will officiate the service.
