Avelene Marie Mason

Avelene Marie Hennigan Burr Mason, 93, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, May 11, 2023.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cheryl Franks and Dale of Merryville, LA, Jan Vess of Ola, AR; granddaughter, Lindsay Franks Avants and Gary of San Antonio, TX; stepchildren, Donald, David, Annie, Margaret, Carol, Linda and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clark Burr and JC Mason; parents, Guy and Chrissie Hennigan; brother, Guy Wayne Hennigan; stepsons, Johnny and Glenn.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 19, 2023, also at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Brother Donald Mason and Brother Malcolm Russell Hennigan will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
