Austin Wayne Scott, 29, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Angela and Chet Slaydon of Singer, LA; grandparents, Joyce and Michael Scott of Singer, LA, grandfather, Chester Slaydon of Singer, LA; brothers, Russell Meek & Chrissy of Rosepine, LA, Lee Slaydon and Alicia of Leesville, LA; sister, Alyssa Rhodes and Cody of Singer, LA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pearl Slaydon of Singer, LA, great grandmother, Lucille Griffin of Singer, LA.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Graveside funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Newlin Cemetery in Singer, LA. Brother Lyndon Longoria will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Brandon Hyatt, Jerry Bailey, Cody Rhodes, Colton Doolan, Derek Cantrell, Brandt Patterson. Burial will follow at Newlin Cemetery in Singer, LA.
