Aquanetta Marie Hudson Samuel, 69, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, August 14, 2021.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Corwin Samuel and Tanisha of Norfolk, VA, David Samuel and Mindy of Old Salem, TX, Kadeem Hudson and Laura of Merryville, LA, Jalen Samuel of Merryville, LA; daughters, Jacinta Ashworth and Mark of Newton, TX, Sharonda Wiley and Harrison of Ruston, LA, Jacqueline Jackson and Eddie of Huntsville, AL, Carla Hadnot of Merryville, LA, Cree Samuel of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Edward Hudson, Jr. and Dee of Killeen, TX, James Hudson and Delores of New Orleans, LA, Jimmy Hudson and Patricia of San Antonio, TX, Willie Hudson of Pineville, LA, Justice Hudson and Joyce of Jasper, TX; sister, Jean Smith Scott of Lutcher, LA; twenty grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Hudson; brothers, Theodore Hudson, Harold Hudson, Sammy Hudson; sisters, Mary Hudson Baptiste; niece, Cynthia Baptiste.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at The River Church in Merryville, LA. Elder Maurice Bynum will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Daniel Hickman, James Sweet, Torin Williams, Quentin Williams, Obie Williams, Gregory Sweet, Edward St. Romain, Tevin Williams and Olan Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Christopher Ezidore, Tehran Ezidore, Janathaen Ezidore, Kasden Ezidore, Kei’Lynn Hudson, Donovan Hadnot, Kolson Hudson, Kalum Hudson, Eddi Jackson III and Bryce Foster.  Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
