Amber Lynn Chancey Borel, 28, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, January 30, 2016 in Lake Charles, LA. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Rylan Joseph Borel of Dry Creek, LA; father & step-mother, Joe Daniel Chancey, Jr. & wife Tammie of Dallas, TX; mother & step-father, Tammy Wilber & husband Shane of Dry Creek, LA; brothers, Shawn Wilber of Dry Creek, LA, Zack Wilber of Dry Creek, LA; sisters, Jocelyn Pratt of Dallas, TX and Lindsey Ingle & husband Anderson of Merryville, LA, nephew, Corbyn Ingle of Merryville, LA; grandparents, Agnes Young of Dry Creek, LA and Joe & Linda Chancey of Freeport, FL; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Joseph Borel, PawPaw, M.A. Young; uncle, Pierre Benoit.


Amber was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church. She was a 2006 East Beauregard High School Graduate and currently a Junior at McNeese State University. Her life revolved around her son, Rylan and she could light up the room with her smile. Her smile and laughter will be sorely missed. To know her was to love her. Our loss is Heavens gain!


Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm and again on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 from 9:00am until time of service at Dry Creek Baptist Church in Dry Creek, LA.  Funeral service will be Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 11:00am at Dry Creek Baptist Church in Dry Creek, LA.  Burial will follow at Rosepine Cemetery in Rosepine, LA.  Rev. Charlie Bailey will officiate.
