Allie Mae Myers

March 28, 1924 - July 10, 2015

Allie Mae Amerson Myers, 91, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Friday, July 10, 2015 in DeRidder, LA.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Ann Myers Benoit and husband Roger of DeRidder, LA; son, Hardy L. Myers and wife Renee’ of DeRidder, LA.; 4 Grandchildren, Glenn Nelson and Wife Kathy of Houston, Texas, Lane Nelson and wife Margo of Hammond, LA, Jordan Myers - Lukens and husband Ken of DeRidder, LA and Frind Myers and wife Laura also of DeRidder, LA.; 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  She is also survived by a brother, L.C. Amerson of Virginia Beach, VA and a sister, Shirley Amerson Whatley of Bratt, Florida.

Allie was preceded in death by her husband, Hardy “Crip” Myers; son, Troy Glenn Myers, one grandson Hardy Lamar Nelson; Her beloved mother Dollie Hoven Amerson; father Lawrence Amerson and 12 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 10:00am also at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Merryville Cemetery in Merryville, LA.  Rev. Lane Nelson and Rev. Kenneth Gibson will officiate.
