Alicia Hernandez Harlow, 71, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Sunday, July 23, 2017. She served her country as a nurse in the United States Army and proudly served in Okinawa during the Vietnam conflict.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 32 years, Milton Harlow, retired SGM; stepmother, Rosario Hernandez; son, Luis Antonio “Tony” Ramirez and Salesa of Everett, WA; daughters, Deborah Rock of Santa Rosa, CA, Aida Rodriguez of Oakland, CA, Anastacia “Ana” Harlow of Lake Charles, LA, Lorene Griggs and family of Acworth, GA, Cathy Harlow and family of Jacksonville, FL, Pam Jones and family of Buena Vista, GA; brothers, Cornelio Hernandez of Pasco, WA, Camilo Hernandez of Houston, TX, Juvencio Hernandez, Jr. of Moses Lake, WA, Rick Hernandez of Lathrop, CA; sisters; Maria Ramirez of Deer Park, TX, Tomasa Hernandez of Pasco, WA, Ruth McKinley of Moses Lake, WA; Mary Beita of Goodlettsville, TN, Rosa Bernal of Moses Lake, WA. Host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Those preceding her in death are her parents, Juvencio and Maria Hernandez, and her sister, Yolanda Hernandez.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Leesville First Assembly of God Church in Leesville, LA. Burial will follow in the Central LA Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, LA.
