Alice Faye Groves

Alice Faye Groves, 62, of DeRidder, LA passed from this life on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in Pineville, LA.  Mrs. Groves served in the United States Army for 10 years, then worked as a travel clerk for Managed Care at Bayne Jones Hospital at Fort Polk, LA.  She had 30 ½ years of government service.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Danny Groves; sons, Danny Groves and wife Susan, and Eric Groves; and daughter, Mary Groves, all of DeRidder, LA; mother, Dorothy Gipson of DeRidder, LA; brothers, Gary Ford and wife Terri of Leesville, LA and Clifford Ford and wife Doris of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Mable Hickman, Sharon Ford and Margenette Ford, all of DeRidder, LA; 4 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, Isaac Paul Gipson, Sr. and brother, Isaac Paul Gipson, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Norris Memorial COGIC in DeRidder, LA.  Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 10:00am also at Norris Memorial COGIC.  Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Leesville, LA.  Elder Murray Piper will officiate.
