Alfred "Baby" Ashworth

Alfred “Baby” Ashworth, Sr., 73, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder, Louisiana. Visitation will begin on Friday, February 27, 2009 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana from 6 PM until 9 PM and will continue on Saturday, February 28, 2009 from 10 AM until Noon. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Norris Memorial Church of God in Christ in DeRidder, Louisiana at 2 PM with Rev. James Piper officiating. Burial will follow at Bancroft Cemetery in Bancroft, Louisiana.

Survivors include the following; Wife: Mary Jean Ashworth of DeRidder, Louisiana; Sons: Alfred Ashworth, Jr. and wife Linda of DeRidder, Louisiana, Michael Ashworth and wife Kenna of Houston, Texas, Obie Ashworth and wife Mia of Houston, Texas, and Paul Ashworth and wife Inette of DeRidder, Louisiana; Daughters: Glenda Ashworth Rahming of DeRidder, Louisiana, Marilyn Thomas and husband Miton of DeRidder, Louisiana, and Johnnie Murray and husband Glen of Houston, Texas; Brothers: J.C. Ashworth of Bleakwood, Texas and Arthur Ashworth of DeRidder, Louisiana, as well as Twenty-nine Grandchildren and Twenty-one Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: Daughters: Linda Ashworth and Angela Ashworth.
