Alex Willis

Alex Nealon Willis, 71, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

Alex was a loyal, devoted and loving husband and father. When he was working far away from home, he would always send letters to his wife, Linda, sending his love. He taught us all unconditional love and how to be strong and steady during the hardest of times. Alex was the life of the party, quick to make a joke and lighten the mood. He was the greatest husband, father, uncle, son, brother and friend a person could ask for.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fifty years, Linda Rider Willis of DeRidder, LA; children, Susan Willis of DeRidder, LA, Louis Willis of DeRidder, LA, Phillip Willis of Oakridge, TN; sister, Joyce Bailey of DeRidder, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Artie and Ethel Willis; brothers, R.V. Willis, James Willis, Barnette Willis, Clyde Willis, Larry Willis, Jackie Willis; sisters, Ruth Ella Willis, Mary Willis, Artie Mae Hoover, JoAnn DeVille, Lonnie Pearl Ashworth.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
