Abram “Abe” Longoria, 83, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Friday, August 13, 2021.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Christine Longoria of Merryville, LA; son, Michael Longoria and Donna of Lafayette, LA; daughters, Marilyn Stark and Arrie of DeRidder, LA, Tammy Siler and Jim of Temple, TX; brothers, Homer Longoria of Ohatchee, AL, James Longoria and Tami of Sobol, OK, Harvey Longoria and Eva of Sandy Hook, KY, Lyndon Longoria and Kerry of DeRidder, LA, Roger Longoria and Angela of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Shirley Cooley of Merryville, LA, Gail Killian of Merryville, LA; grandchildren, Chariti and Charles, Ryan and Jennifer, Hannah and Jared, Elyse and John, Savanah and Ethan, Faith, Lakin and Eric, Christine and Stephen, Brandon and Ariel, Brittany and Tyler; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Abram and Pearl Longoria; sister, Sue Lattimer.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Graveside Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Cooper Cemetery in Merryville, LA. Reverend Paul Brewer will officiate the service, Reverend Jelbert Siler will recite the eulogy. Pallbearers will be Ryan Stark, Charles Smith, Jared Brown, John Davis, Ethan Buchanan, Eric Pierce and Judah Williams. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery in Merryville, LA.
