Chase Alton Hickman, 39, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
Chase lived a life full of passion. He was all in. All the time. His resilience to fear was effortless. He enjoyed the traditional hobbies of a good ol’ country boy. His life wrote the lyrics to the same “outlaw” country songs he sang; whether about love, heartbreak, livin’ life, raisin’ kids, lovin’ his wife, huntin’, havin’ a little land, praisin’ God, family first, stand up for what you believe. Tractors, trucks, boat rides, fishin’ on the creek bank. He did it. He lived it. He was never ashamed of who he was and for that he is admired. His compassionate heart was felt the moment you saw him. He included everyone around in everything he did. All were friends and all were loved. He leaves behind his biggest loves. Daughter, Kailee Roxanne Hickman. Son, Triston Chase Hickman. Son, Everitt Chase Hickman. And his greatest love of all, his devoted wife, Julie Diana Hickman.
Also left to cherish his memory are his mother, Debbie Hickman and Pat Jarrell of Merryville, LA; father, Sam Hickman of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Suzanne Hickman of Moss Bluff. LA, Leah Campbell and Daniel of Merryville, LA; grandfather, Harvey Hickman of DeRidder, LA; nieces and nephews, Lakyn Ruston, Leighton Hickman, Lawson Spillers, Lakota Spillers, Titus Campbell, Naomi Campbell, Caroline Scallan, Madison Scallan, Alyssa Scallan, Lola Kate Scallan, Amelia Scallan and a host of cousins, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Earl and Myra Jean Warren; grandmother, Johnny Hickman.
His memory will not and cannot be forgotten. We will sing his songs forever. Carrying with us the lessons they teach. Rest in Peace our dear friend, until we meet again.
