Mattie Laura Cochran, 94, passed from this life on October 27, 2008 in DeQuincy Memorial Hospital in DeQuincy, Louisiana.

Visitation will beging on October 27, 2008 in the Green Oak Baptist Church of Merryville, Louisiana beginning at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Green Oak Baptist Church. Burial will be in Meadows Cemetery of Merryville, Louisiana.
Ms. Cochran is survived by her neice, Dorothy "Dottie" Bridges of Merryville, Louisiana as well as many friends.

Esther Jean Meadows, 61, departed this life on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.  Visitation will be held from 5pm – 9pm, Sunday, October 19, 2008 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder and from 9:00am – 12:00 pm, Monday, October 20, 2008 at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 2pm at Calvary Baptist Church in Merryville, Louisiana.  Survivors include; Husband:  Curtis Meadows of Merryville, Louisiana; Sons:  Boyd & Mindi Meadows of DeRidder, Louisiana and Jeffery & Sara Meadows of Merryville, Louisiana; Mother:  Hazel A. Coleman Sandifer of Merryville, Louisiana; Sister:  Olivia Perniece Woods of AmGlan Steinbach Germany; Uncle:  Harold Coleman of Alexandria, Louisiana; 5 Grandchildren: Micheal Meadows, Lyndsee Meadows, Katelynn Meadows, Jayden Meadows & Kayla Mae Meadows.

Annie Pearl Miller, 64, departed this life on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at her residence in DeRidder, Louisiana.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church in DeRidder, Louisiana at 1:00 PM.  Annie Pearl Miller is survived by the following; Brothers: Dallas Miller, Venton Miller, and Robert Jackson; Sisters: Deneise Williams, Geneva McDonald, Doris Cornelius, and Mary E. MsDonald as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lawrence Bradley, 54, departed this life on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in DeRidder, Louisiana.  Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 12:00 PM at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home.  A Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2008 at Beauregard Cemetery at 2:00 PM.

Don Stewart “D.P.”, son of the late Ed and Ada Stewart, departed this life on Monday, October 13, 2008 at Beth Israel Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.  Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Old Cypress Cemetery in DeRidder, Louisiana.  Mr. Stewart attended both Grambling University and McNeese State University in Louisiana and worked as a longshoreman in New York City.  He is survived by the following; Brothers: Wilbon Stewart of Chicago, Illinois and Wyman Stewart (Esther) of Detroit, Michigan; Sisters: Dovie Ambeau of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 
Bennie Jones of Chicago, Illinois, and Eddie Ransom (Calava) of DeRidder, Louisiana; Sister-in-Law: Curlie Stewart of DeRidder, Louisiana; Brother-in-Law: Leroy Crawford of Gonzales, Louisiana; As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Preceded in death by: Arthur Stewart, Paul Stewart, Wiley W.R. Stewart, Ida M. Andling, Alma Rogers, Mandie Crawford.

Mrs. Denmond is survived by;
Husband: Leo Denmond; Sons: Marvin Simmons (Vessa) of DeRidder, Louisiana, Calvin Simmons (Eunice) of Humble, Texas, and Dave Simmons (Elaine) of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Daughters: Barbara Tolliver (David) of Alexandria, Louisiana and Marilyn Collins (Albert) of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, Sisters: Lucy Coleman of Richmond, California and Anna Cooksey of DeRidder, Louisiana; Stepchildren: Johnny Mae Walden of Alexandria, Louisiana, Sara Perry (Darnell) of Alexandria, Louisiana, and Emma Denmond of Ruston, Louisiana

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church in DeRidder, Louisiana with the  Rev. Louis Smith officiating.  Burial will be in  Beauregard Cemetery, DeRidder, Louisiana.
